IPA guide

Other forms: face times

Face time is a real-life interaction with someone. It's fine to communicate with your best friend online, but after a while you need some actual face time.

You know you could get that great job at the ice cream shop if only you could get some face time with its owners. In other words, phone calls, emails, and text messages just aren't the same as being there in person, face-to-face. This idiom has become increasingly common as more people around the world interact in a virtual way, using technology, rather than in person.
